ML2014GO FOR IT! - Pictures can evoke immediate moods, feelings, and also inspire us to action. This photo of the little boy on the skateboard immediately does it for me. As we look for the huge ball to drop in Times Square on New Year's Eve, we are faced with the dilemma of what changes should be made in our lives to make the new year even better than the one that just passed. I encourage us all to be very proactive and set a clear course for success in 2015. But how can we do this? It's simple; here are the recommended steps.

DISCUSS - Set aside some private time where you can talk with that good looking reflection in the bathroom mirror. Then get together with your significant other so that you can kick around and discuss some of the doors to success that you would like to see open wide for you in the next 365 days.

PONDER - Now take some private time to think about all of the options and determine which you feel would be best for you to pursue. Study out the scenarios in your mind and lay out the pros and cons to determine which doors you think would be best to walk through. Remember, it is easy to label the bad doors bad. The challenge to to identify which are the good doors, the better doors, and the best doors.

PRAY - Next, take some time to present your success options to Heavenly Father in prayer (or to whatever being you subscribe to being your higher power). Share with Heavenly Father which doors you feel would be best to pursue and ask for His guidance as to which options are better and best for you and your family. The promise is given that if you first study it out in your mind that he will make it clear in your mind

GO FOR IT - The scariest part is taking the initial drop down the steep hill on the skateboard. That's right, making forward effort to walk through the door can be the biggest adrenalin rush. You may be learning to skateboard as you are increasing your speed, or you may be a seasoned skateboarder with over 45 years of experience and still skateboarding regularly, but heading towards new goals is exciting regardless of how much experience you have.

So what did we learn? Discuss, Ponder, Pray, and then GO FOR IT!

Take a Huge Risk... Make 2015 Count!!!
