Just the other day I wrote about a scam geared towards the real estate professionals regarding search engine optimization. The prior scam was phone call related and gave one a chance to listen to the liar on the other end of the phone. Today I opened my email box and just like scavenger subterranean termites looking for soft and easy wood targets, the Nigerian money scammers have targeted soft and unsuspecting targets in the Home Inspection industry. No longer do I have to read sad woes from dignitaries and royalty in Nigeria, because now I can read the woes of vacationing home inspectors in the Ukraine. Check it out...
Unexpected trip turns sour....................Lou Gustafson
I really hope you get this quickly. My trip was rather impromptu so I didn't have time to inform i came down here to Ukraine for the tour. The program was successful, but our journey turned sour because we misplaced our wallet and cell phones on our way back to our hotel lodge after we went for sight seeing. The wallet contained all of our valuables and right now am unable to clear/pay our Bills.
I know this is a lot to ask and I'm sorry if I'm inconveniencing you, but I'm scrambling to find someone who can help, and without my phone, all I have is email. Most of my contacts are unreachable. I would be so eternally grateful if I could get a short term loan from you, just until we return home in 2days. i need a total of $3,000USD. This will enable me to sort our bills and get my sorry self back home. Even if the whole loan is unmanageable, any amount would be incredibly helpful. I promise to refund it in full as soon as soon as I return.
Let me know if you can be of any assistance.
Realtor's Choice Inspections
The intersting thing is that I know a Sacramento area home inspector named Jon Gudnason, and that is awfully close to Gustafson. This all makes it soung that much more familiar. And Norm Gustafson is my neighbor just around the corner... Hey, maybe I know this guy... Lou’s, well they are a dime a dozen in the home inspection industry, so maybe I do know this guy. What gave it away for me was when I read “Realtor’s Choice” because that is what we would all like to be. Yep, I want to be the choice of every agent when it comes time for a referral, but without selling out my integrity to be such. But seriously, that business name just goes too far. In a karmatic way, Lou’s Ukrainian woes seem somewhat deserved. Rest assured, somebody is always manning that 888 number even though they lost their wallets and cell phones on the way back to their hotel. So while I am nmore than a bit skeptical, it is just $3,000.00, so pony up and help out if you can. But for me, I will just dream of the day that I can give away $3,000.00 and not have it severely affect my household’s finances. Watch out for those scammers.
Make it a great day!
