MARCH 15, 2015 - I have friends scattered around the globe that I both love and miss dearly. I know that if they are anything like me, that they too need an uplifting gift of love from our Heavenly Father to let me know that they are indeed loved. I felt such an uplift earlier today when my 17 year old son Aaron sang in church. "Come Thou Font of Every Blessing" is a wonderful Christian hymn that Aaron confidently sang while his friend Eric Wilson accompanied him on the piano. It is a simple arrangement that was very soothing to my soul.
I was very heavy of heart this week as I walked to church feeling the joys of having a new granddaughter safely come into mortality while feeling the migraine headaches that have become such a common trial in my life. I am blessed in so many ways and I felt anything but like going to church. It was a struggle just to stand up and get ready for the day. But sitting in the congregation and watching Aaron so confidently open his mouth and sing praises was very humbling to me as his Father.
I hope that anybody reading this also feels the love of our Heavenly Father and that it can provide you the soothing balm needed to give you the love and comfort you too may be needing.
Make it a great day!
